Welcome to my blog! I would just like to introduce why I started this blog.
As my profile states, I am a college student taking an American Literature course. As a midterm project, we were instructed to start a blog about something we found interesting or cool that we either learned or read or maybe even just felt about when in this class. As soon as I saw we were going to be reading "The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, I got excited because I had read this short story back in high school and I loved it. It was one of those short stories that just kept my attention and made me want to read it. It is also kind of a chiller and I love scary and chilling stories.
I hope you enjoy my blog and join discussions!
My daughter loves Yellow Wallpaper! She always teaches it to her students at Clinton Prairie High School. Good start on your Blog. I am looking forward to reading your posts.
ReplyDeletePoor Jane goes out of her mind in that dreadful room. Who could blame her! It kind of reminds me of a scaled down "The Shining." It is a wonderful diversion from the more conventional stories found in the textbook.
ReplyDeleteI know! I had read it in high school so when I saw it on the list I knew I was going to read it again. I like creepy and unconventional stories (I have a book called "Weird Indiana" and it is my favorite book).
ReplyDeleteI was hoping to make some sort of comment on your posting, since I'm aquainted with you through Pioneer, but I haven't read this story. I look forward to reading you future posts.
